La Jolla Shores/La Jolla Art Association Signage Competition

We have been offered a once in a lifetime opportunity to let our creative imaginations run wild. The merchants and business people of La Jolla Shores have decided that their main goal for 2010 is to find representative signage. Together with La Jolla Art Association, they are organizing a competition; open to all artists, to find the right design vision for the La Jolla Shores community. There will be a two week-show, featuring all submissions, at the La Jolla Art Association Gallery, with reception. Residents of La Jolla will be invited to vote for their favorite. Extensive media coverage is planned. A further private show/reception will be held mid-September, for the merchants, businesses and board of La Jolla Shores, during which awards for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place will be determined. In addition to the enormous prestige and amount of publicity the winner will receive, formal plaques of recognition will be presented to the top three by Mayor Sanders, together with generous gift certificates from the local businesses. If you would like to participate in this design competition, please download and fill out this application form. Should you require more information, please email your request to Monica Cadish.
